DEFINITION OF TERMS

PEX IN SLAB:
A PEX plastic tubing embedded in the concrete floor of your home. Usually installed at the time of your home's construction.

CONCRETE OVERPOOR :
The PEX hose is attached to the existing floor. Then a lightweight concrete product is poured over the top. It can be used on main and upper floors.

STAPLE-UP :
The PEX hose is tacked up under the floorboards (between the joists) of the room to be heated. Then an insulation product is used to direct the heat upward. The floor-
boards must be accessible from the room below in order to install this system.

HEAT-TRANSMISSION PLATES :
A high quality insul- ation plate used in the staple-up application. Increases heat transmission by 40%.

ZONES:
Divisions of your home in which you would like to control the temperature separately.
